Join Witness to Innocence in carrying on John Thompson's work!
Last year, John Thompson (JT) filed a formal complaint with the DOJ petitioning them to investigate incidents of prosecutorial misconduct in Orleans Parish during the tenure of former District Attorney Harry Connick and asking the department's Civil Rights Division to review all cases handled by one of JT's prosecutors, former Assistant District Attorney James Williams.
Join us in calling upon JT's Congressional Rep, Congressional Black Caucus Chair Cedric Richmond, to write an open letter to the DOJ insisting they conduct the investigation.
Together, we must ensure that all the known and preventable causes of wrongful convictions are addressed and that those who would be content to send the wrong man or woman to execution are removed from the power to do so.

JT was right - the New Orleans DA's office must be investigated.
Your message to Congressman Richmond will honor all that JT sought to accomplish and will carry forward his fight for judicial accountability!
